My Story

You might be wondering what led to the beginning of RGK9 so I will take this time to introduce myself and what we're all about. 

My name is Bri, I have lived in Chislehurst my entire life and have an extensive history working with and around animals. I have most recently been working as a front line police officer with Metropolitan Police Service which I started in 2019. Prior to this role I had been a dog walker and pet sitter for 3 years where I gained valuable experience in this area. My love for animals began a long time before then though! 

I have a BSC Hons 2:1 in Applied ANimal Behavioural Science and Welfare which was completed in 2017 at Hadlow College, Tonbridge in conjunction with the University of Greenwich. During this time I also completed work experience at a range of businesses including canine hydrotherapy, security and search dog training, dog kennels and also a cat rescue centre. 

I was raised with animals my entire life ranging from cats and a dog to budgies and giant African land snails! This triggered my love of animals and my enjoyment in looking after not only our four legged furry friends, but also reptiles, snakes and birds. Currently my personal life encompasses four cats (Kitkat, Jalapeno Popper, Scotch Bonnett and Belle Pepper) and a dwarf rabbit (Jim Hopper)

After three years away from working with animals I decided it was time to return to my passion and make it my livelihood. I took the plunge and in April 2023 Rose Garden Dog Walking became a reality. I wanted my work to coincide with my love for dogs and my joy when caring for animals. Whilst I love all dogs, through my degree and through personal interest I have come to cherish bull breed dogs; this is where the bull breed specialist part comes in.

I know bull breed dogs are no different to other dogs, all breeds have their own unique traits and ways, however unfortunately these breeds have been condemned by society and many people believe they are dangerous. This is simply untrue. However due to their perception in society, it is important that these breeds have advocates who will ensure that no incident may occurr which could further harm their reputation and also advocate for the positive sides and the love these breeds provide.

Whilst we may be a small business at the moment, we look forward to growing alongside your pets and providing them the best care that they deserve!
